    Camera reads a plate

    An ANPR camera posts JSON to the receiver. The format can be detected automatically — MAV, VREO, Vaxtor, NVA etc.

    Decoded & enriched

    The sighting is decoded, the plate normalised, and a vehicle lookup adds make, model and colour.

    Matched & located

    It's tied to a vehicle record; the camera's zones drive an entry / exit transition and update live occupancy.

    Actions fire

    If the vehicle is on a watchlist, its actions run — barrier, alert, notification or device command.

Lists that do something

Group vehicles into categories — staff, visitors, VIPs, blocklists, contractors — and attach the behaviour you want. A matching sighting doesn't just appear in a log; it triggers the category's actions in the same breath.

Zones are the backbone. They nest into a hierarchy — site, area, parking, unit — and visibility, occupancy and billing all flow through them. On-site zones track who's in; directional cameras measure how fast they crossed.
